A little personal piece I've been working on in between doing the things on my to-do list. I went through a bit of a rut a little while back, and I figured it was because I was basically doing the same thing over and over, pasting something onto a background and touching it up.
So now I've made it a habit to practice more things and experiment on my pieces, and I have officially fallen in love with background blending! So this was a practice/cool-down piece that took about five hours over the course of a few weeks, considering I only worked on it for 15-20 minutes whenever I had some time.
Please, feel free to critique and give your opinion!
Thanks for viewing! I appreciate any and all comments and favs!
Edit: I added a shadow (which I completely forgot XD) and did a few touch ups that I missed. I think it looks a lot better now.

I'm glad you like it! It just takes lots of practice and patience (trust me, I constantly have problems with hair painting XD) My advice is to use the original photo as a sort of guide, and also use references!
